Virtual Event Manager - Volunteer (Remote)

​The Poderosas, a nonprofit dedicated to uplifting Hispanic Women in leadership, is looking for a Virtual Events Manager (Volunteer) to lead the strategy and execution of our online events—from intimate workshops to high-impact panels.

This is a volunteer position, ideal for a professional with at least 4 years of experience in event planning, program management, or marketing who wants to give back while expanding their network and leadership exposure.

 

What You'll Own:

  • Manage monthly virtual events aligned with our mission and calendar

  • Coordinate speakers, scheduling, logistics, and event flow

  • Collaborate with the project managers and the marketing team to support promotions

  • Help evolve our event experience based on feedback and community needs

 

What We're Looking For:

  • 4+ years of experience in event planning, program coordination, or marketing

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Comfortable leading Zoom events and managing logistics (breakout rooms, chat, speaker transitions, etc.)

  • A self-starter who can own a project from concept to execution

  • Passion for community building and empowering women in leadership

  • Bilingual English-Spanish is a plus

Commitment: 

  • Availability to commit 8–10 hours/month
